A Complete Approach to Mental Health
In my early twenties I had no idea what I wanted to do for a career. I tried biochemistry, history, even computer science but something always held me back. So, unsure of where I belonged, I joined the Army. It was there that I was introduced to the work of mental health. Seeing how transformative it was for myself and other soldiers, I pursued a Masters of Social Work degree from Fordham University. I graduated with a near perfect GPA, something that would have been impossible for me just 5 years prior. Now, I want to help others gain the benefits of therapy that so helped me.
I offer a strengths-based approach that helps my clients identify what needs to be done to live their best lives. To this end, I use both structured methods—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy—and more freeform sessions utilizing talk therapy and narrative therapy.
